SANCTUARY HOUSE

This project was conceived as an island from the bustle of Bombay, somewhere the Client could wind down after a long day - a sanctuary of sorts, in the middle of the city. This was a complete renovation of an old high rise apartment; which meant working around multiple obstacles of service and engineering design - while still keeping the material quality and lightness of the space alive.

Double glazed windows, block out blinds, an open floor plan and a minimal yet premium material palette serves to insulate and calm the senses. Once you step into this space and close the doors, you are transported to a calm and serene space - a sanctuary.
